麦克是一个工作尽职尽责的警察，影视也是因为这样原因他的妻子成为了他的前妻。他前妻的新婚丈夫罗利是一个聪明的发明家。一系列的连环谋杀案发生了，影视狡猾的凶手即将浮出水面，麦克找到罗利希望他能帮助他突破这最后的难关，罗利带上自己先进的“设备”来帮助麦克，最终行动却以麦克牺牲的结局结束了。罗利决定将这个事情查清楚，原来连环谋杀案背后还隐藏着更大的阴谋。
