本片讲述了性格孤僻、中文线垂垂老矣的魏大雪和她的狗生活在北京胡同的一个小四合院里，中文线一切的起点和终结也都这里。日复一日的独居生活平静而乏味，魏大雪与人、与市井生活之间仿佛有一道透明的墙，触之冰冷。突然发生的一系列冲突打破了她本来平静的生活，在经历了 恐惧、痛苦、挣扎、释然的过程之后，一切仿佛又归于了平静。然而，此时所有事情的真相才真正展开……
