女巫审判后约300年，远古曾成功逃离的那批女巫面临灭顶之灾。女巫的女儿们被送至新奥尔良的一所特殊学校来学习保护自己，远古但她们受到一系列不断升级的神秘攻击。被卷入其中的是一个新生Zoe（Taissa Farmiga），她心怀一个可怕的秘密。而此时，长期不现身的至高者Fiona（Jessica Lange）深受近期侵犯所震惊，席卷而回，来到镇上。她决心保护女巫集会（Coven），并且不惜一切要屠杀任何拦她路的人！
