HBO出品的电视电影，封仙根据前苏联连环杀手"俄罗斯食人魔"安德列·奇卡蒂洛(Andrei Chikatilo)的真实事迹改编。剧情描述一名苏联的刑警花了八年时间追查一名极为凶残的连环凶手，封仙此人在1982至1990年间在南方一个偏僻的火车站杀死了五十二名妇孺。此时期正逢苏联在进行政治经济变革，警方办案的方式不断在改变，因此刑警的调查遇到前所未有的困难，杀手的身份变成了一个谜。更糟糕的是他在调查中 发现了政府的一个秘密，唯一支持他的人只剩下政治策略专家的费提索上校。
