处在叛逆期的少女Tia在离家出走的途中遭遇车祸。无处可去的她暂住到了同样是车祸幸存者Will和他怀孕的妻子Donna的家中。Will的侄女因为车祸失去了自己的父亲，断网悲痛不已。Tia在帮助小侄女的过程中逐渐从车祸的阴影中走了出来。Tia与这家人的关系日益紧密，断网也开始渐渐造成了这家人关系的失衡，Tia将选择何去何从。
