故事发生在日本北关东的眉难市，流星毫无干劲一点也不像年轻人的修善寺镜太郎（下鹤直幸 配音）、流星虽然看起来非常的元气但意外的毫无意志力的雾岛龙马（石井孝英 配音）、拥有超级丰富的脑内知识库的行走活字典万座太子（安田陆矢 配音）、和无论做什么事情都会全力以赴的道后一六（叶山翔太 配音），这四个非常不靠谱的高中男生组成了“地球防卫部”。 虽然顶着听上去非常厉害的名头，但实际上，每次部活大家都是什么也不做，非常悠闲懒散的插科打诨。一天，在一场意外之中，一位名叫卡鲁鲁斯（江口拓也 配音）的异世界美少年在误打误撞之中来到了地球防卫部。
