回复 :莱拉日以继夜地在一间老旧的工厂工作，只为糊口并养活12岁的儿子阿米尔与刚出生的宝宝。此时一个足以拯救她贫困生活的提议出现，工厂的巴士司机卡赞打算娶她，但麻烦的是，卡赞也有一个跟阿米尔差不多大的女儿，在传统礼节下，改嫁的莱拉是不能带与男方女儿年龄相近的大儿子进门的。社会大众无情的眼睛，以及公司同僚心怀不轨的看好戏，莱拉如果要摆脱她的悲惨命运，只有一个办法。迫于无奈，她只好将阿米尔送去聋哑寄宿学校，她要儿子装聋作哑等她三个月，三个月确认完婚后就会接他回来。实际到了那边的阿米尔，才发现身边同学都是一些被妈妈永远抛弃的小孩，所以他决定逃回家，然而屡次回去他都会因看到妈妈的辛苦而不舍再回来。阿米尔必须做出他小小年纪的第一个重大决定......
