回复 :在一次偶然中，拥有着对猫过敏的体质的普通少年高坂润平（浅沼晋太郎 配音）无意得罪了供奉在路边的猫地藏，从此，润平将彻底告别“平凡”二字。猫地藏显灵了，作为惩罚，润平必须实现一百只猫咪的愿望，否则，他本人将变成他最讨厌的猫咪。从此之后，各色可爱的猫咪开始出现在了润平的身边。胖胖的老大喵姆萨斯（田中敦子 配音），单纯可爱的小玉（福山润 配音），天然呆的熊猫（神原由衣 配音），高雅傲娇的黑猫奈尔（福井裕佳梨 配音），通过和它们的接触，润平逐渐摆脱了对于猫咪的偏见。在校园中，润平有一个一直暗恋着的女神——水野枫（井口裕香 配音），为了撮合润平和枫，被润平帮助过的猫咪们开始施展起了各自的本事。
回复 :In this season, the show went back to airing one new episode a week, but stayed in the hour-length format, filling up the second half-hour with episodes from previous seasons and some of the prime-time specials from the 1980s. This entire season, along with the second half of season 6, is available on Garfield and Friends Volume 5 DVD set. Also worth noting is that here, a new theme song was added that was written by J.R. Johnston and Neil Panton. The theme was sung by J.R. Johnston. This theme song was not shown internationally, and as a result, it does not appear on the DVDs (although Garfield's quotations are kept intact). This new introduction sequence used most clips from Seasons 5-7 and a few from the first two seasons, as well as Garfield in Paradise and Garfield's Feline Fantasies. The episodes stopped using a few seconds of the theme playing in the episode title cards after season seven's fourth episode; music from the episodes were used in the title cards until the show ended, even though season six used music from some of their episodes.
