回复 :1945年的美国密执安州的伊普兰蒂，著名汽车发明家普雷斯顿·塔克向犹太金融家阿贝·卡拉兹请求给予其新设计的一种汽车以资助。这种利用空气动力学原理的新型“鱼雷”牌小汽车被称为“明天的汽车”。阿贝·卡拉兹答应了塔克的请求。在获得了政府的批准后，塔克以芝加哥一家战前的旧工厂作为其实验场地。塔克和机械师昼夜奋战，他们必须在第一年生产出50辆小汽车。终于，在他们的不懈努力下，第一辆“鱼雷”牌汽车被成功地制造出来。在“鱼雷”牌小汽车投入生产时，底特律的汽车制造商嫉妒他的发明，他们发起了一场进攻——三大汽车公司授权参议员作为发言人，对塔克的公司施加压力，百般刁难、诬陷塔克，还从技术上控制了塔克的公司，终于使塔克的工厂因受审而倒闭，埋葬了塔克和他的梦想。塔克在六年后因癌症去世，底特律汽车公司接收了他的所有发明成果。
