回复 :在网走监狱，末广胜治（高倉健 饰）、北野铁雄（宍戸錠 饰）、石松五郎（田中邦衛 饰）三人结为兄弟，铁雄后因保护胜治而被狱友杀害。出狱后，胜治和五郎辗转来到铁雄的家乡北海道，并发誓为兄弟报仇。在铁雄的妻子冴子（生田悦子 饰）的劝说下，二人打消复仇的念头，从此在铁雄创立的北野土木会社安顿下来。适值此时，政府正在修建北海大坝，北野土木和大沼仪一（金子信雄 饰）经营的大沼土木皆是工程的主要承包商，双方不可避免摩擦不断。胜治年轻气盛，对手狡猾凶狠，双方的较量不断升级……本片为“网走番外地系列”第18部作品，也是最后一部。
