俗话有云：狐狸最毒妇人心。得罪女友的后果常常会非常严重，狐狸更何况片中可怜的马特（卢克·威尔逊 Luke Wilson饰）冒犯的是超人女朋友。其实，马特和女超人珍妮（乌玛·瑟曼 Uma Thurman饰）的恋爱故事也开始得算是浪漫，但是马特却慢慢发现这个新女友的的超人面目。她爱闹脾气，占有欲强，霸气十足，让马特望而生畏。马特果断的和珍妮分了手。本来马特以为可以喘口气了，却不料他的“灾难”才刚刚开始。珍妮凭借着自己的超能力，随时随地让马特栽进大坑。她想方设法让马特得不到一刻安宁，总是在生活和工作中屡屡出丑。更糟糕的是，马特正在萌芽的新感情也泡了汤，他尝到了得罪女超人的后果：丢了工作，也无法正常的生活。马特该如何收拾这个烂摊子，让珍妮手下留情……

The next day, two officers knock on the insane man's door, investigating a shriek heard in the night. The insane man invites them in, answers their questions, and submits to an examination of his eyes by one of the officers, who proclaims him innocent. The insane man invites them to stay and relax awhile, then regales them with his theories of crime. His heart begins to beat louder. Angles on the set are skewed to suggest the man's internal disarray.
