回复 :著名物理学家摩耶龙造（見明凡太朗 饰）的家族中流传着一个恐怖的传说，凡是见过彩虹男的人最终都会死于非命。虽则如此，但是龙造仍潜心人造彩虹的研究。某天，龙造位于山间的木制别墅发生火灾，其弟子菅八郎被证实丧生祸害。可是从现场的调查来看，菅八郎遇火之前已被人刺死。最终，龙造续弦之妻志满子（平井岐代子 饰）的侄女小幡由利枝（若杉須美子 饰）作为嫌疑人遭到警方逮捕。昭和日报的女记者鸟饲美美（暁テル子 饰）不相信好友由利枝是杀人犯，她和同行随同警方前去走访性情古怪且藏有许多秘密的摩耶家族。在这一过程中，不断有人因虹男遇害……本片根据角川喜久雄的原作改编，被称为日本第一部自然彩色电影。
