关正群（狄龙 饰）在中药行老板陈尚龙（卢迪 饰）的威逼利诱之下染上了毒瘾，不仅如此，他还以贩养吸，暗地里帮助陈尚龙贩卖毒品。曾健（王钟 饰）是关正群相识多年的老友，不忍心看到关正群就此堕落，曾健苦口婆心的劝说，总算让关正群良心发现想要改邪归正。在经历了非常痛苦的挣扎后，关正群总算解毒成功了，不仅如此，他还将扫毒人员汤国樑（秦沛 饰）介绍给了曾健，协助他们搜集陈尚龙贩毒的证据。然而，关正群一行人的一举一动早就被狡猾奸诈的陈尚龙尽收眼底，为了保护自己的利益，陈尚龙决定将这些人除之而后快。
