故事发生在清朝康熙末年。野心勃勃的四阿哥（万梓良 饰）在年羹尧（杨泽霖 饰）的支持之下谋权篡位，日韩更改传位昭书，日韩残害手足，最终顺利坐上了皇帝的宝座，将称号改为了雍正。在夺嫡之战中落败的十四阿哥（伍卫国 饰）虽然有着大内高手曾静（姜大卫 饰）的贴身保护，却也只能隐姓埋名踏上逃亡的旅途。最终，十四阿哥还是得知了皇阿玛的死是四阿哥设计所为，心中又惊又气的他发誓要替父亲报仇雪恨。雍正和曾静同时喜欢上了名为吕四娘（米雪 饰）的女子，这段三角恋情让曾静和十四阿哥的境地变得更加危险起来。
