被“母亲病危”的消息骗到海外的高中生海棠晴，优优在那里突然被介绍认识了是“你的弟弟！优优”的名叫海棠零的男孩子。海棠晴拼命地照料着谁的话都不听的野生儿海棠零，而海棠零的身世似乎也是一个秘密，加之，在海棠零终于能开始亲近自己时，一场悲剧发生在海棠晴身上。5年后，与长大了的海棠零再会的晴又将面临怎样的生活呢？

回复 :电视动画《梦幻之星Online2》根据世嘉游戏开发的同名网络游戏改编。《PSO2》动画化的消息于2015年7月12日举办的现场活动中发表。动画版的故事将是完全原创，以近未来的地球为舞台，也可说是《PSO2》玩家们的故事。动画2016年1月份开始依序在TBS、BS-TBS等频道播映。
