记得男主角名为“周桂初”，欠债是由当时新加坡广播局的一线小生黄文永饰演的（不是李南星）。对他的温文儒雅，欠债记忆太深 刻了。但他也由于自己的缺乏勇气和当时艰难的处境，不敢也不能追求深爱着的“金凤”。另外，当年另一个刁蛮任性的千金女痴恋“桂初”，她的扮演者就是陈莉萍，在剧中名为“巧敏”。她对“桂初”爱得骄蛮，爱得霸道，爱得不顾一切，随他逃亡;但最后却爱得那般大度，那般成全。印象最深的是她要求“桂初”不要压抑自己的情感，勇敢去将已只身赴车站的“金凤”追回来，而自己却眼看着“桂初”飞奔向真正的心上人后为了顾全他的性命，而遭枪击，倒在血泊中死去……如今的回忆，一切皆历历在目；里面的贺笑南，三瑞，当然都记忆深刻。那个戆厚的三瑞还记得么，“我要吃糖”！他成了傻瓜的代名词了，现在想想不厚道，小时骂人都骂三是山瑞。
